RUN4HUNGER EVENT VOLUNTEERS (SATURDAY OCTOBER 7TH, 2017)
On Saturday, October 7th, 2017 “Why Can’t We Feed Everyone (WCWFE)” will be hosting our second annual 4k and 6k run to help raise awareness for the valuable work our organization does. As a volunteer based organization that seeks to help feed the hungry in the city of Ottawa, we rely on the kindness and support of the community and volunteers to help us achieve our goals. Our second annual “Why Can’t We Feed Everyone” Run4Hunger will take runners on a journey through Pinhey Trail Forest behind the Nepean Sportsplex.
Approximately 20-30 volunteers will be needed throughout the morning on Saturday, October 7th from approximately 7am to 12pm to help with the following:
- Set-up of tents, chairs, water stations, starting line and finish line;
- Assistance during the actual event (water stations, food stations);
- Clean-up of the event.
